An AI chatbot is a chat widget that answers visitors' questions automatically using your own content. Chatim's chatbot combines two approaches: scripted flows you design for predictable tasks such as booking or lead capture, and AI answers generated from the knowledge base you train it on.

Do I need to code to build a chatbot with Chatim?

No. Flows are built in a visual drag-and-drop builder, the AI is trained by importing your website or pasting text, and installation is one script tag or the WordPress plugin. Developers can go further with the JavaScript SDK and webhooks, but nothing requires code.

What does the chatbot learn from?

Anything you add to the knowledge base: pages scraped from your website, a sitemap import, pasted text and documents. You control what is included, and you can update or remove sources at any time.

Can the AI chatbot hand over to a human?

Yes. Any flow can route to a live agent, and the bot hands off when a question is too complex for it. The agent receives the full transcript and visitor details, so the conversation continues without the visitor repeating anything.

Is the AI chatbot free?

The Free plan includes live chat, a chatbot flow with standard blocks and a contact button for one user. AI conversations are part of the Pro plan (up to 200 per month) and the Ultimate plan (up to 500 per month), both with a 14-day free trial.

What counts as an AI conversation?

A chat session in which the AI generates at least one reply. Scripted flows, button menus and human replies do not count. Actual counts depend on knowledge base size and conversation length; the pricing page has the details.

Which languages does Chatim support?

The dashboard, the widget and this website are available in English, Spanish, French, Romanian, Ukrainian and Russian, and the knowledge base can hold content in any language.

Can I use the chatbot on Shopify, WordPress or Wix?

Yes. Chatim installs on any website: WordPress has an official plugin, and there are guides for Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Magento, Site123, Next.js, Google Tag Manager and Adobe Launch.
