Contact Buttons
Contact Buttons allow you to add multiple communication channels to your chat widget, giving visitors more ways to reach you beyond the built-in chat.
Requires Pro plan or higher.
Overview
With Contact Buttons, you can display a multi-button launcher that expands to show various contact options like WhatsApp, Telegram, phone, email, and more. When enabled with two or more channels, the standard chat launcher is replaced by an expandable button. On desktop, hovering over it reveals all enabled channels. On mobile, tapping the button expands the menu.
Accessing Contact Buttons
- Log in to your Chatim dashboard
- Select your project from the sidebar
- Click Contact Buttons in the navigation menu
Animation Styles
| Style | Description |
|---|---|
| Fan | Buttons spread out in a curved, fan-like pattern |
| Stack | Buttons stack vertically above the main button |
| List | Buttons appear in a vertical list with labels |

Configuring Channels
- Enable/Disable — Click the toggle switch on each channel
- Edit Settings — Click the expand arrow, edit the button label and value, then save
- Reorder — Use up/down arrows to change display order
Best Practices
- Only enable channels you actively monitor
- Consider regional preferences (WhatsApp popular in Asia/Europe, phone in Americas)
- Only enable live channels (phone, WhatsApp) if you can respond quickly
- Keep button labels short (1-3 words) with action words: "Chat Now", "Call Us", "Email"
